Who knew football season would become my favorite fashion show?

Happy football season! I’ve been dying to dive into the intersection of football and fashion, and how it’s pulling in a wider audience.

Let’s talk about The Tunnel Walk. Where players transform their game-day walks into fashion moments. From the runways of Milan to National Football League (NFL) stadium tunnels, athletes are stepping into the stadium in front of the camera and basically a makeshift runway, and I’m consistently FLOORED (in a good way) by how they’re making fashion a key part of the game.

Take Travis Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champ with the Kansas City Chiefs and one of the most successful tight ends in NFL history, holding multiple career records. Kelce’s incredible stylist, Danielle Vanessa Salzedo, has him rocking looks that rival his on-field success from Louis Vuitton on game day to hosting SNL in Dior. As he said, 'It’s almost like a red carpet every single week.' And honestly, he’s right.

Alix Earle, the girlfriend of NFL player Braxton Berrios on the Miami Dolphins, recently starred in an NFL on FOX (Fox Corporation) commercial showcasing her unique game-day style. The commercial reflects how fashion is blending into football culture. And not to exhaust the topic, but we have to mention TaylorSwift ’s game-day fits, which have been making waves on social media, too.

This crossover between sports and fashion is game-changing. It’s pulling new audiences into the world of menswear and luxury fashion, while also connecting them to the sport itself. This benefits the luxury sector, the commercial market, and, let’s be real, Americans everywhere. It’s not just about the game anymore it’s about the runway.
